11. Limitation of Liability

C. O'Neal Movers exercises reasonable care in handling every customer's belongings. However, moving household goods involves inherent risks, and certain damages may occur despite the use of reasonable care. Unless the customer purchases additional valuation coverage or a higher level of protection is agreed upon in writing prior to the move, C. O'Neal Movers' maximum liability for loss or damage is limited to $0.60 (sixty cents) per pound per article, regardless of the item's actual value. For example, if a television weighs 50 pounds, the maximum liability under this standard valuation would be $30.00. C. O'Neal Movers is not responsible for: Items packed by the customer. Existing damage or normal wear and tear. Mechanical or electronic malfunctions not caused by visible physical damage. Furniture made from particle board, pressed wood, or previously repaired furniture that breaks during normal handling. Damage resulting from improperly packed boxes supplied by the customer. Loss of cash, jewelry, firearms, prescription medications, passports, collectibles, important documents, or other valuables not disclosed before the move. Weather related delays or damages outside of our reasonable control. Delays or damages caused by circumstances beyond our control, including traffic, road closures, natural disasters, or acts of God. Customers are encouraged to obtain separate moving insurance or request additional valuation coverage if they desire protection beyond the standard released value of $0.60 per pound per article. Any claim for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 7 calendar days of delivery and include photographs, a description of the damage, and supporting documentation. Failure to timely submit a claim may result in denial of the claim.

12. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the move unless other arrangements have been made in writing. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic payment methods (Zelle, CashApp, etc.).

Failure to pay may result in a lien on your goods until payment is received, as permitted by Texas law.

13. Chargebacks

If a chargeback or payment dispute is filed after services have been rendered, C. O'Neal Movers reserves the right to pursue collection through all available legal remedies, including but not limited to filing a claim in small claims court or reporting the debt to collections agencies. A $50 administrative fee may be added to any disputed charge that is found to be valid.
